Meet Rachel Forbes
(she/her)Welcome! As a Korean-American transracial and transcultural adoptee, I offer a unique lens to my therapeutic work and adoption advocacy. My therapeutic approach is holistic and mind-body incorporated, with the intention of holding space for you to deepen understanding within yourself and claim the self-leadership that already exists within you. I offer individual therapy and therapeutic group support for adult adoptees.
In addition to offering individual therapy, I also offer educational training for large groups, clinical consultation for mental health practitioners, and my professional perspective and experience in interviews, podcasts, public panels, discussions, and forums.

Testimonials
“I really enjoyed some of the techniques you taught us! I know therapists may not always have the answers, and a lot is on you, but I appreciated different coping techniques, techniques that can
help us thrive as individuals. You taught great ‘in the moment,’ ‘what do I do now’ kind of advice.”
– A.O.
“In particular, I appreciated the conversations surrounding trauma and the primal wound. This information and way of understanding adoption was presented in a way that I felt was more tangible for me.”
– S.H.
“…The group topics helped me make realizations, learn, and understand myself as an adoptee. It allowed a safe space, a holding space for my emotions and thoughts. A community where we are all alike in that we are adoptees! It allowed the time for me to reflect and think and be with like-minded people.”
